1. I think The main character of this story is phoenix Jackson : an old black woman, she is poor, humorous, brave, disoriented, and seems to be pitiful person. I like the character in this story. As an aging black woman he want that African and Americans and must conquer these unjust obstacles in order to complete the path to racial equality.

1.The main character in the story is Elisa Allen who loves planting Chrysanthemums in his garden. She is brave woman he tried to struggling the women Right in America at the time. I like that.

She is with a younger man. I don’t like character in this story, because it doesn’t develop, it is monotone character.

I don’t like setting in this story, although it just use one setting, I feel confuse after read it.
